HIFU TREATMENT
NON-INVASIVE, NON-SURGICAL, NO DOWNTIME, PAINLESS, SOLUTION TO PREMATURE AGING
What is HIFU Treatment?
HIFU (High-intensity Focused Ultrasound) treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical, safe treatment for face lifting, wrinkle reductions, double chins and body sculpting. It uses focused ultrasound energy to target different layers of the skin just below the surface. During the treatment, high-frequency ultrasound beams are emitted to the target tissue sites, causing the tissue to heat up rapidly and experience cellular damage. This damage initiates the cells’ healing process, stimulates the production of new collagen and results in tighter, firmer skin. While this may seem counterintuitive, the beams are focused only on the targeted tissue sites below the skin’s surface. Therefore, no damage is caused to the upper layers of the skin and no downtime is required. Since HIFU energy can reach as far as the fat layer of the body, it is also a highly effective treatment to remove unwanted fat and tighten body skin. In short, it is the perfect solution to premature aging.

How many treatments do I need?
Most people need only 1-2 full treatments. People with photo-damaged skin or a high degree of loose skin may require multiple treatments to see the desired results. During your consultation with Skin Pro Lori, you’ll discuss more about how many treatments you’ll most likely need to achieve the results you’re wanting. Most people need only 1-2 full treatments. How long do results last?
Aesthetic results from HIFU treatment generally last 18-24 months, and even longer with a healthy lifestyle.
How does HIFU Treatment work?
The device will release a highly concentrated focus of ultrasonic energy, and deliver into the deep skin and cause thermal coagulation to SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System). High heat is condensed in the appropriate location, to stimulate the skin deep dermal tissue and produce more collagen. It’s able to penetrate to depths only previously possible with surgery.
Hifu uses the power of Ultrasound to safely lift and tighten skin. Ultrasound is a form of energy that is significantly different than light such as IPL and Lasers or Electrical (Radio-Frequency) energy. Hifu, protects the skin surface, whilst precisely penetrating at deeper depths and higher temperatures than Radio Frequency for example, treating beyond the Dermis and Foundation layers, where structural weakening starts.
Tissue at the target point is heated to -65°C, Thermal Heat is created with the skin tissue creating both spaced ‘wounds’ and cellular friction which in turn promotes healing. immediately contracts collagen and stimulates a rapid production. Over the next 90-180 days wound-healing response stimulates long-term tissue and leads to further lifting and tightening with results that can last years.
What does HIFU help with?
HIFU helps to improve the tone and all the features of your face such as your eyes, cheeks mouth, chin and skin also making it a viable alternative to Botox, with the benefit of being to maintain facial expression. Excellent for post surgical face lift to maintain the lift and treat blood stasis, scarring, and numbness.
What are the benefits of HIFU?
As a completely non-surgical, non-invasive procedure, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound patients many benefits over other procedures:
- Clinically ProvenSafe and Effective
- Cost Effective Alternative to a Surgical Face Lift
- No Need for Anesthesia or Sedation
- No Incisions or Risk of Infection
- No Downtime
- Comfortable and Painless Treatments
- Results can last for 2 years plus
- With the advantage of three depth cartridges (1.5mm, 3mm and 4.5mm), HIFU has the capability of penetrating to depths only previously possible with surgery.
